Medical Grade Polypropylene
The gold standard at LA Container is our USA made medical grade polypropylene. This is our standard base plastic that we manufacture all of our plastic containers from. This polypropylene simply cannot be beat. It is a medical grade, USP Class VI plastic that is free from BPAs, Phthalates, Lead, Heavy Metals, Tallow, Animal Derived Materials, Latex, Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) and PBDE’s. With this, the polypropylene is REACH, RoHS, DMF, CA Prop 65 and FDA compliant, PP #5 Recyclable and is even autoclave and ethylene oxide sterilizable.

Lab Grade Polyethylene
We use a combination of high-density and low-density polyethylene resin to create the perfect fir and feel for our PE containers every manufacture run. Our Polyethylene plastic vials are REACH, RoHS, DMF and FDA compliant and CA Prop 65 compliant. Along with this, the PE material is BPA free, Lead free and Phthalates safe making these containers perfect for your laboratory or medical setting.
Gamma Sterilizable
Gamma sterilizable polypropylene used at LA Container is a USP Class VI highly clarified copolymer resin specially designed for the manufacturing of medical devices suitable for sterilization by high energy radiation. Additionally, containers made from this material are also suitable for E-Beam sterilization and Ethylene Oxide sterilization. What sets our Gamma Sterilizable containers apart from others you might see on the market is the clarity. While most containers suitable for gamma sterilization are cloudy and hard to see through our Gamma sterilizable vials are ultra-clear leaving great visibility of interior contents and they will not yellow or haze over time.
With this, this sturdy polypropylene material has controlled rheology to maintain is structure long-term. Radiation resistant polypropylene is compliant with many industry and medical standards including RoHS restrictions on the inclusion of heavy metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium, and hexavalent chromium. This material is REACH compliant and also does not contain flame-retardants like PBB, PBDE, or benzofurans. PP-Gamma material is also compliant with FDA regulation 21 CFR 177.1520, making it safe for use with food products.
Anti Static Pink Polypropylene
The anti-static pink polypropylene plastic is a non-conductive ESD plastic that keeps the containers static free without providing a static shielding. Our anti-static pink ESD plastic vials have a surface resistivity of 1×1010 ohm/sq. – 9.9×1012 ohm/sq. and offers a high surface resistance. These stats coupled with the lack of static shielding on the containers makes them the perfect ESD container for use storing and transporting static sensitive items in an EPA (ESD Protective Area). Additionally, our ASP plastic containers are REACH and RoHS compliant and proudly made in the USA.

Blue Static Dissipative Polypropylene
Blue static dissipative ESD polypropylene is a USA made, permanent anti-static material that will dissipate the static buildup that is formed on the surface of the container. PP-BAS is a slightly conductive ESD material with a surface resistivity between 1×108ohm/sq to 9.9×109ohm/sq and surface resistance of 1×107ohm to 9.9×108ohm. A voltage from 5kV to 50V will decay in less than 2 seconds. Along with this, BAS plastic vials from LA Container are REACH and RoHS compliant and contain no latex or dry rubber making them a great long term storage solution for static sensitive electronic parts, circuits or conductors.

Conductive Anti Static Polypropylene
Conductive Anti Static (CAS) ESD plastic is an opaque black conductive polypropylene plastic that grounds the container to the work surface that it is touching. This allows hinged lid plastic containers made from the CAS material to be able to discharge any static build up very quickly from the surface of the material. Conductive ESD plastic vials have a surface resistivity is less than 1×106 ohm/sq and surface resistance that is less than 1×105ohm. A voltage from 5kV to 50V will decay in less than 2 seconds. In addition to being compliant with Federal Test Standard 101C Method 4046.1 for resistivity, this CAS material is REACH and RoHS compliant. CAS is achieved through the addition of carbon fiber or carbon powder to the polymers, creating a distinct opaque black appearance. Our USA made conductive plastic containers are ideal for uses with pyrotechnics and other explosive industries.

Blue Static Dissipative ABS Cases
Our Blue Anti-Static Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, or ABS-BAS for short, is an Electrostatic Dissipative material that is specially designed to dissipate the static build up that is formed on the surface of a container. The material is slightly conductive with a surface resistivity between 1×1010ohm/sq to 1×1012ohm/sq and surface resistance of 1×109ohm to 1×1011ohm. A voltage from 5kV to 50V will decay in less than 2 seconds. What sets this material apart from the normal BAS plastic mentioned above is the addition of the ABS type plastic. ABS creates a very hard, rigid plastic that offers great clarity and strength. We specially manufacture our USA made LABoxx™ ESD plastic boxes line out of this specialized ESD inhibiting plastic offering a great packaging option for storing static sensitive computer parts and electronics.

Conductive Anti Static ABS Cases
The Conductive ABS plastic used at LA Container is a specialized ESD conductive polymer that grounds the container to the work surface it is touching. This allows the ESD plastic box to discharge any static build up quickly from the surface of the container. Conductive ESD plastic boxes have a surface resistivity of less than 1×106 ohm/sq and surface resistance that is less than 1×105ohm. A voltage from 5kV to 50V will decay in less than 2 seconds. This material differs from our standard CAS plastic in that it is coupled with the rigid ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic. This ABS-CAS plastic creates our rigid conductive ESD LABoxx container line that features opaque black, ultra-hard plastic boxes great for conductive ESD settings and workspaces. Made in the USA, these rigid ESD ABS-CAS boxes can’t be beat.

Neutron Activation Analysis
Neutron Activation Analysis (NAA) Polyethylene is a specialized homopolymer plastic that features good impact strength making it perfect for manufacturing small plastic vials for neutron activation analysis testing. The design of the two NAA plastic vials manufactured at LA Container includes thicker container walls that provide better tensile strength to protect your samples during transport and activation. Our NAA vials are the ideal packaging option for NAA samplings in archeology, soil sciences and geology.
